The Kennington Association is a resident-led community organisation created to facilitate communication, cooperation and foster cohesion among a diverse local population. We aim to improve local amenities, promote recreation and support the health and wellbeing of local people.

In 2013, we took over the management of Lollard Street Adventure Playground, a precious local site that had fallen prey
to council cuts. We supported the community to redevelop the adventure playground into a community hub, enabling families and their children to socialise and take part in play and sporting activities.

The Kennington Association became a charity in 2015, and today our main activity is running the adventure playground.
In 2021 we opened a new community building on the site of the playground, available for local groups to use. We also
run a Secret Santa to help local families in need of extra support every year.

While the Kennington Association used to be involved in local planning issues, this part of our activity ceased when we became a charity. For all planning related issues, please contact the Kennington and Oval Forum

We are a membership organisation and welcome queries about membership, which is free. Please fill in a
membership form here, or email us directly at kenningtonassociation@gmail.com to find out more. You can
